• ALEJANDRO SANDOVAL - Senior Historic Preservation Specialist

    Mr. Sandoval’s experience includes managing restoration at the Watts Towers, Museum of Man San Diego, Catalina Casino, City of Inglewood’s History of Transportation mural, Bob Hope Patriotic Hall Los Angeles, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House, and most recently, the Fulton Mall Reconstruction. He was the Historic Restoration Manager at preservation/restoration firm Spectra, Inc. for 5 years prior to joining SCS and specializes in architectural design restoration and stone masonry.
  • CARLOS FLORES - Senior Conservation Technician

    Mr. Flores has 15 years of experience working in historic restoration and construction. From 2000 - 2008, he was part of the team that restored the Watts Towers. Also, Mr. Flores was part of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake reinforcement/restoration initiative. He specializes in electrical work, welding, masonry, and brick restoration.
  • MEGHAN PURSELL - Studio Manager & Conservation Technician

    Ms. Pursell oversees the administrative, financial, and registrarial operations as well as providing treatment proposals, reports, and treatments. She also coordinates the logistics of each project, including schedules, staffing, supplies, and equipment rentals. She ensures all deliverables, such as reports and photographs, are compiled and sent in a timely manner. She holds a BFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Painting and Art History and has held a wide range of positions in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. Including; Curatorial Assistance for Travelling Exhibitions, The Barnes Foundation, Twelve Gates Arts, Temple Gallery, Allentown Art Museum, Grossman Gallery at Lafayette College, and Connexion Gallery. She most recently held a fellowship position with ArtsforLA in the cultural policy cohort.
  • LAURA BARR-JONES - Conservation Technician

    Ms Barr-Jones has a background in fine art with a BA from Brevard College in Fine Art, and an MFA from Ohio University in Sculpture + Expanded practice. Prior to her time at SCS, she worked as a teaching artist and held positions at Art Center College of Design and Otis College of Art and Design. She is a practicing artist and specializes in sculpture fabrication.
